Reports from both KSTP-TV and the Star Tribune say that recent GOP ads that attack DFL U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken are false and misleading. The DFL held a news conference to denounce the tactics. Assistant Minority Leader Representative Laura Brod then came to the microphone to give a Republican response, and said Al Franken's ads were "misleading as well"...seeming to indicate the GOP ads were also misleading.

She later clarified that she misspoke and didn't mean to say "as well". But she would not comment on whether she supports the claims in the GOP ad.
